hey guys i was wondering the other day if u farm the gems in order to get an ambrace 15 of each colour what will be the best?

turn 15 gems of each colour for 1 ambrace?

or get 15 coffer of whispers?

if anyone can help me out on this ?

Armbrace. The odds of getting something good from a coffer are remarkably slim. Unless you feel you can afford to take a risk or just don't care.

Get an Armbrace, i've used alot of coffers (gambling is addicitve >.<) and only ever got 1 Armbrace from one.

I got an armbrace from my first coffer back when DOA was added

! Admittedly it didn't happen the next 3 times. Armbraces are so cheap nowadays you may as well just buy them for 20odd ecto

I say go for the coffers! Gambling has never killed anyone!

Although if you are not too rich and want a tormented weapon, go for the armbrace, as you probably wont get an armbrace from the coffers

The odds of getting an armbrace from a coffer of whispers is just over 1% the odds of getting the mini mallyx is under 1%.
I don't think there's anything else of much worth from a coffer.

If you feel lucky, go for coffers, I did and got an armbrace out of my 6th one, but generally you're better off going straight for an armbrace.

why get 15 coffers to maybe get 1 armbrace when you can just get the armbrace right off the bat? doesn't really make sense to me.

Very first Coffer I opened I got a Mallyx, back when DoA was just added. Good times.

But I'd have to say Armbrace.

If you're farming the gems with the intent of getting a weapon/shield, then armbrace definitely.

If you're not that bothered about getting a tormented item/don't really have a particular preference either way, then I'd say just take a chance on the coffer roulette.

If you want a weapon, armbrace. If you want to gamble coffer. If you want money, sell the gemsets. For some retarded reason they seem to be worth more as gemsets rather then as coffers or armbraces.

Coffers are fun, but complete folly. They are simply a method for Anet to remove a little wealth from the economy, while creating a little gambling thrill for the players.

Armbraces have a value that fluctuates, but will always have value. It's down to around 20e currently, but all it would take is a DwG nerf and the value would jump.
